1963 First metal lice comb was designed by Nitex/Health Enterprises
1974 Introduced the "Zap Cut" to the front edge of the comb to funnel the hair through the teeth more easily
1979 Introduced the bevel cut between the teeth to reduce hair pulling
1985 Silicone dip added to reduce drag and allow the hair to glide through the comb more easily
1992 Extended metal handle added for comfort in combing
1994 Introduced a 5X magnifier to the comb handle to help in locating nits and to screen for complete removal
1996 Metal comb anodized blue to highlight the nits on the comb
1999 Long and short pin metal comb designed to accommodate different hair types and lengths
